Ta Adesa is a Ghanaian female-led literary magazine. We publish all year round, except for specific issues or literary prizes where a special call for submissions will be announced. We are always on the lookout for new writing and new voices.

Please refer to our Submissions Guidelines below, and note that while we currently accept simultaneous submissions, writers must immediately notify us once their work is accepted elsewhere.

Submission Guidelines

1. We currently only publish poetry and Literary Fiction. We do not publish book length manuscripts. Please submit one genre/work for consideration at a time.
2. We accept simultaneous submissions. However, we require that you immediately inform us when the work is accepted elsewhere.
3. We do not accept previously published works (this means works that have appeared online or in print – including your personal blog).
4. For Literary Fiction, please submit up to 3000 words of prose, double spaced, and in Times New Roman, font size 12.
5. For Poetry, please submit 2-3 poems with a maximum of 30 lines per poem, also in Times New Roman, font size 12. All poems must be submitted in a single document attached.
6. All submissions should be done via email to: editor@taadesa.org

The subject of your email should be: [*Title of your submission*, *Genre* by *Name*]

7. Please ensure to accompany your submission with a short bio written in the third person, which includes your nationality, as well as a high quality author image or headshot.
8. Unfortunately, Ta Adesa is currently running without funding, as such, we are at this time unable to offer compensation to our contributors. However, we aim to show our community of writers a little appreciation in the near future through our soon to come literary prizes.
9. Our team, made up of experts within the online publishing and (digital) marketing industries also work around the clock to ensure that our marketing effort is significant and not one-time, and puts the spotlight on our contributors and their stories.
10. While we are a very small team, we do our best to respond to all submissions within 3-4 weeks. However, an acknowledgement of submission email will be sent out within 1-2 working days of submission.
